Job Description:
Alabama Steel Supply is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Loader to join our team. This role is essential in our steel manufacturing facility, requiring individuals with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move steel materials within the yard and facility.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to transport steel products.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory in the yard.
- Ensure accuracy in loading and shipping orders.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet operational goals.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or vendors.
- Follow supervisor instructions and company policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Prior experience operating steel manufacturing equipment is a plus, but not required.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Must adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
