Overview:
Join our legal team as a Litigation Paralegal where you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in various legal matters. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a passion for law and expertise in areas such as family law, environmental law, workers compensation law, immigration, and civil litigation
Duties:
- Conduct thorough research on legal issues and case precedents
- Assist in drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Manage case files and ensure all documents are organized and up to date
- Support attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
- Utilize legal software such as Westlaw and iManage for document management
- Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with court rules
- Assist in estate planning tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
- Certification as a paralegal is preferred
- Proficiency in researching using tools like Westlaw
- Experience working with iManage or similar document management systems
- Strong understanding of securities law, environmental law, workers compensation law, family law, civil litigation and personal injury law
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
