The Entry Level In Office Property Claims Adjuster position will begin with a 5-week paid training program and transitioning into a full in office role upon completion of the training. This role is not a deployment and is intended to be a long term position.
5 Week Paid Training Program will be held February 3rd, 2025 to March 7th, 2025 and consist of:
- Week 1 - Remote - Mission statement, What is Alacrity, System Set up
- Week 2 - In Person – How to read a policy
- Week 3 - In Person - How to apply special limits and policy concepts and Construction 101
- Week 4 and 5 – Remote Carrier specific and live claim handling with Team Manager and Team Appointed Auditor
Primary Duties upon successful completion of training program include but are not limited to: (Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform essential functions.)
A desk adjuster in the property and auto insurance space handles insurance claims from start to finish. They review policy coverage, investigate claim details by gathering documentation and statements, and assess damages through virtual inspections. Desk adjusters will work closely with policyholders, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claim resolution. They are responsible for negotiating settlements and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company guidelines. Strong communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Claims Investigation:- Review policy details and coverage.
- Gather statements, police reports, and supporting documentation.
- Assess the cause and extent of damage through virtual inspections and photos.
- Determine claim validity and liability based on policy terms.
- Document claim files with accurate and detailed notes.
- Prepare estimates and settlement recommendations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for policyholders, claimants, and third parties.
- Provide timely updates on claim status and next steps.
- Handle inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Ensure settlements align with company guidelines and industry standards.
- Adhere to state and federal insurance regulations and company policies.
Skills & Requirements:
- Texas License, additional licenses may be required
- Experience in property claims or task assistant experience preferred
- Proficient Customer Service skills
- Proficient computer skills including typing and Microsoft Office
- Strong relationship building skills and ability to work well with others.
- High level of time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated critical thinker who can work independently to solve problems.
- Ability to multitask and quickly adapt to changing/conflicting priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Physical & Mental Demands:
- Regular and on-time attendance.
- Hours will be standard 40 hours per week. Subject to change based on needs.

Starting salary range:
- $20.00 per hour during 5-week training period increasing to $26.00 per hour after successful completion of training period

- Full-Time (M-F, 8am-5pm) *Subject to change based on role/carrier requirements.
