About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced food service director to join our team at Gordon State University. As a food service director for Aladdin, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of food service workers and manage all aspects of a food service department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all functions of the food service department and its resources
- Leading a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees
- Ensuring that staff meet all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations
- Budgeting for the department, including purchasing ingredients and ensuring account targets and forecasts
- Conferring with the district manager or other departments regarding technical and administrative aspects of dining service
- Addressing customer service needs
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of experience coordinating food service operations in higher education
- Previous experience in multi-outlet management
- Previous experience with industrial cooking
- Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with hourly staff and company executives
- The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer services and satisfaction
- Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications
