Behavior Technician (RBT)- TRAINING TODAY!!!

We are seeking individuals who are interested in making a difference in lives of children, adolescents or young adults with Autism Spectrum disorders and/or Emotional/Behavioral disorders.

EXPECTATIONS

• Individuals who work in the schools must be available to work Monday though Friday for the entire school day in a public school setting on Oahu.

REQUIREMENTS

• An AA/AS degree; or 48 college credits (including Math & English 100); however, a BA/BS in Psychology, Special Education, or related field is highly desirable, AND
• RBT certification is perferred or willingness to be trained
• Experience working with children and adolescents, especially those with special needs, is highly desirable, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a desire to learn and succeed in this field.

Alaka’i Na Keiki also provides the training and competence assessment required for certification as an RBT .

Many of our paraprofessionals have used this position as a stepping stone to graduate school and careers as special education teachers, behavior analysts, therapists, and psychologists. Individuals who perform well in this position may request letters of recommendation to graduate schools, and apply for practicum, internships, and postdoctoral residency experiences provided by our agency. The hourly pay for RBTs working under our insurance contracts in the home, community or office ranges and for RBT’s working in the schools is based on education and experience ranges from $28 to 30 per hour.
