Job Overview
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to support our government customer in Kekaha, Hawai'i, working on underwater tracking systems and being cross-trained in other departments. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of electronics, computers, and electronic equipment troubleshooting and repair.
Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate will be trained to operate and maintain various equipment such as UTS, NGSS, PUTR/SANS, Mini-LATR, SWTR, BARSTUR, BSURE, and more. They will perform periodic inspections and maintenance tasks, document results, troubleshoot and repair systems/equipment by reading schematics and using test equipment, assist in preparing system reports, and help install, calibrate, and test new systems and equipment.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a High School diploma or equivalent, an AS Degree, or two years of technical school. You must also have four years of progressive experience in a related field with a minimum of two years' experience in the specific field of assignment. Additionally, you should possess fundamental knowledge of basic electronics, computers, and electronic equipment troubleshooting and repair.
Desirable Skills
Previous experience in underwater tracking systems, such as sonar technician, is desired. Holding a Security certification or its equivalent is also desirable. Operating system certification in Linux or Windows is a plus.
