The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies is seeking a Safety Specialist to support our government customer in Oahu, Hawaii.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide support for NEC Baseline requirement in COOP and overarching safety support for the contract.
- Develop, implement, and exercise COOP utilizing IT Service Continuity Management principles for critical portions of the automation infrastructure and customer services.
- Support the NEC in preparing, monitoring, and evaluating IT Service Continuity Management in support of installation COOP with each NEC-supported customer activity.
- Backup each system weekly and store weekly backups at the NEC-designated offsite location.
- Provide on-call support outside normal operating hours.
- Develop a System Backup Plan that details backup provisions that meet the standards set in applicable Army regulations and implement once approved.
- Perform system backups outside normal business hours.
- Test working backups by performing a test restore monthly to ensure backups are valid.
- Provide the COR a report that identifies backup statistics and errors for all backup jobs monthly.
- Restore critical automation services and data within 24 hours in event of disaster, as documented in the accreditation artifacts COOP.
- Provide the COR an Incident Report within four hours after restoration of service, that includes the date-time-group (DTG) when incident was reported, the DTG when services were restored, and a synopsis of incident cause and resolution procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent degree.
- A.S. Degree or equivalent through fundamental certificates in the Environmental, Health and Safety field.
- Job-related experience may be substituted for education.
- Certificates: 40-Hour Hazmat Technician or 40-Hour HAZWOPER.
- Certificates: OSHA 30 Hour General Industry and OSHA 30 Hour Construction Industry preferred.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Collaboration Concentration Exam (CCNP) preferred.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- At least three (3) years of experience performing in a similar function in safety or security.
- Knowledgeable in security classification guidance pertaining to Army COOP, including the current version of the DoD Defense Continuity Program COOP Security Classification Guide.
- May be required to work overtime.
- Rotational callback and emergency duty are requirements of this position.
Required Citizenship and Clearance
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
