The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator Range Network. This role will support our government customer located in Kekaha, Hawai'i.
Job Description
Provides Windows or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration for all Clients and Servers connected to the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) classified and unclassified networks.
- Deploys Cyber Security mandated system upgrades, system patches, and system security lockdown requirements.
- Performs system wide troubleshooting and problem resolution in a live mission environment.
Responsibilities
As part of a team, responsible for administration and management of all clients, servers, and end-user workstations connected to the classified and unclassified PMRF networks.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, update, patching, and core services related to Windows desktop OS, Windows server OS, Linux OS, and various applications.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration: provides technical problem solving and in-depth consulting for problems involving system operations.
- DISA STIG implementation / System Hardening and working within Configuration-Managed Environments.
Key Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of IT systems and advance IT infrastructure concepts.
- Proficient in operating personal computers, computer software and standard office equipment.
- Critical thinking - Proven problem solver.
Required Education and Certifications
- BS/BA in Business, IT, or relevant field and at least three (3) years of System Administration/IT experience.
- DOD 8570.1M IAT Level II.
- Linux or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Certification required prior to start.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience in automated installation methods and system imaging.
- Advance knowledge and certification in both Windows Server and RHEL.
- VMware certification.
Clearance Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Top Secret security clearance with T5 or equivalent (SSBI) investigation level.
