At Alamance Community College, we are seeking a highly skilled Admissions Office Assistant for Health Sciences to support our mission of providing educational programs and services to prepare all members of our diverse community to succeed. This critical role plays a key part in delivering exceptional customer service and support to prospective students and guests.
This position serves as the initial point of contact for prospective students, current students, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient onboarding environment. By enhancing the overall student experience and contributing significantly to the college's efficient operations, you will make a lasting impact on our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in an efficient, friendly, and helpful manner.
- Assist prospective health sciences students with admissions and onboarding processes.
- Manage the intake and filing of various forms and documents for selective health programs.
- Support admission applications and other incoming admissions documents for health sciences students.
- Answer and manage incoming calls, voicemails, and emails for the Admissions Office.
- Assist with TEAS and admissions placement testing as needed.
- Maintain accurate information on the health sciences admissions processes on the College's website.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver health sciences information sessions using Zoom and/or other online technologies.
- Scan documents using document imaging software.
- Provide assistance to the Admissions Office as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent soft skills, including strong interpersonal skills, a cheerful and enthusiastic personality, and a high level of flexibility, adaptability, cooperation, and initiative.
- Attention to detail and accuracy essential.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Strong work ethic and excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, database management, and keyboarding and data entry proficiency.
- Ability to multitask and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Experience working in a fast-paced office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- A.A.S. degree or higher in Business Administration or related area.
- Experience working in a community college setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
