What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crime Scene Investigation Technician (Civilian) position at Alamance County Government?
The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking applicants for a Crime Scene Investigation Technician within the CSI Unit. A CSI Technician documents, photographs, videos and processes crime scenes. They are also responsible for processing different kinds of evidence inside of the Sheriff’s Office, as requested. Crime Scene Investigation Technicians would be responsible for compiling the information into a neat, legible report that would be provided to detectives, officers, outside agencies, and the court system.

Education & Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Possess a valid North Carolina driver's license.
• Must be able to successfully pass the following: Oral Interview, Background Check, Polygraph Examination and Drug
Screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with duties closely related to documenting, photographing, construction or those described above or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Forensics Science, Biology, Criminal Justice or a closely related field.
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint Experience)
Work Schedule: This is an FLSA non-exempt, civilian position. Work is on a rotational scheduled basis; the normal workweek is based on a schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, one week and 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, on the 2nd week, Monday through Friday, forty (40) hours per week.
