We are seeking to hire a Systems Administrator III in a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the design, deployment, and management of the organization’s complex IT infrastructure. This role involves advanced configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of servers, networks, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments. The Systems Administrator III ensures system security, high availability, and performance, while also leading major infrastructure projects and providing expert-level technical support. Additionally, this role mentors' junior IT staff, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and plays a key role in strategic IT planning. Strong technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills are essential for success in this position.

Full salary range is posted, hiring salary will commensurate with experience. • Designs, deploys, and maintains the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments.
• Leads complex system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure projects, ensuring minimal downtime and system continuity.
• Configures and manages advanced virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Monitors system performance, proactively identify potential issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance, reliability, and security.
• Implements and enforces advanced security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, VPNs, and multi-factor authentication.
• Manages disaster recovery planning, including backups, redundancy, and failover procedures, ensuring business continuity.
• Serves as the top-level technical expert for diagnosing and resolving highly complex hardware, software, and network issues.
• Mentors and provide technical leadership to junior administrators and IT staff, sharing best practices and advanced troubleshooting techniques.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to assess infrastructure needs, design solutions, and align IT strategies with business objectives.
• Maintains comprehensive system documentation, including configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Stays current with emerging technologies and industry trends, advising on and implementing innovative solutions to improve IT efficiency and scalability.

Education & Experience:  BS/BA in Information Systems or Computer Science or relevant field required from an accredited college or university desired. Five years or more of experience in systems administration, with extensive knowledge of both on-premises and cloud infrastructure. Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP.IP, CNS, VPN) and security best practices (firewalls, encryption, IDS/IPS)

Computer Skills:  Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint Experience). 

License/Credentials: Possession of a valid driver’s license, PMP highly preferred, CSM/PSM preferred.
