The processing technician position was designed to ensure product is supplied to the production line. This position is responsible for the creation of batches, checking paperwork and adhering to quality standards. The following are key accountabilities and outcomes that a candidate must meet to follow the requirements needed for the position: Know how to read formula cards, print formulas and create formulas. Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). Sign in and do inspections of cream tank trucks, liquid corn, and high fructose trucks as they arrive. Understand how to mix batches properly. Verify all the raw materials needed for formulas and check the lot numbers. Reconfigure piping structure as needed for pump overs. Know how to perform CIP including verification of cleaning chemicals. Know how to open valves and release a batch to the line. Check the details on the temperature chart: look for start time, pump over time and stop time. Know the difference between the hot water uses whether for a batch or hot water through the pipes.
