We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director/Senior Director of Product Development to lead our product development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in proteomics, biotechnology, or a related field, and a proven track record of bringing innovative products to market. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive product development from concept to commercialization. The position is expected to be 100% on-site.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Lead and oversee product development activities to ensure product performance, robustness and consistency
- Develop product development strategies and initiatives that align with the company’s goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, and sales, to ensure successful product development and launch
- Manage and mentor a team of scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards throughout the product development process
- Develop and manage budgets, timelines and resources for development projects
Requirements include:
- Ph.D. or equivalent in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics or related field
- 15 years of industry experience in proteomics, genomics, biotechnology or a related field
- 7 years of product development experience including assay and product optimization using advanced methodologies
- 5 years of directing product development and a proven track record of successfully bringing innovative products to markets
- Experience in QC method development and product V&V according to CLSI guidelines
- Experience in IVD product development under ISO13485-compliant quality management system a plus
- Previous hands-on experience in immunoassays, qPCR or NGS molecular assay development
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent strategic thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
The base salary range for this full-time position is $214,000- $224,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
