Come join one of the fastest-growing, independently owned distributors in Northern California. Alameda Electrical Distributors & California Service Tool is looking for a full-time Wire Center Manager to take the lead in opening and managing our new Wire Center located in Modesto, CA.
The Wire Center Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of ALCAL Industries’ Wire Center. This role oversees the end-to-end process within the Wire Center, performing wire center duties, directing the work of the Wire Center team, and ensuring seamless coordination with sales, operations, and logistics teams. The Manager is responsible for inventory management, equipment operation, and order fulfillment while establishing and providing training to team members to support operational excellence and safety in accordance with company policies and industry standards.

- Lead, coach, and develop the Wire Center team to ensure smooth daily operations, compliance with company policies, and adherence to safety standards.
- Manage daily wire center operations, including machine and equipment checks, to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Oversee the wire retrieval and cutting process, ensuring wire is cut to specified lengths, properly labeled, and packaged for customer orders.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels through regular cycle counts, stock replenishment, and coordination with purchasing, aligning inventory with sales demand and copper market trends.
- Supervise all wire-cutting, labeling, packaging, and staging activities to maintain order accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain all wire-cutting machines and related equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and proper functioning.
- Champion a culture of safety and compliance, following OSHA regulations and warehouse best practices.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Wire Center and internal departments, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Analyze operational KPIs and metrics to improve efficiency and support company goals.
- Tracking and procuring wemco's, a-frames, or reels that need to be returned from orders sent out.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in a wire center, warehouse, electrical distribution, or production environment; electrical product knowledge preferred.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred
- Experience operating powered lift equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, order picker, pallet jack) required.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and warehouse compliance standards.
- Experience with inventory management, warehouse operations, and ERP systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and hold teams accountable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory control.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized working environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations for accurate job task completion.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and warehouse management systems.
- Experience with Eclipse ERP and RF scanning systems preferred.
- Ability to work Monday – Friday a.m. – p.m.
