Alameda Veterinary Clinic is a small, privately owned, general practice Veterinary Clinic located in Lakewood, CO. Dr. Howard, the main veterinarian and owner, has now owned the practice for 25 years, and was in veterinary medicine for many years prior. Alameda Vet Clinic prides themselves in providing supreme patient care along with having high regards for client interactions/communication. Alameda Vet is looking for a new full-time receptionist to add to the team that embodies these attributes and more!
Our veterinary clinic is looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist. The ideal candidate has previous experience working in a veterinary practice, excellent customer service skills and the ability to multi-task effectively during peak office hours. Our Veterinary Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and must be compassionate, friendly and patient with clients and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone calls and provide basic administrative assistance to staff.
- Write and review medical records for patients.
- Schedule appointments for clients and the medical staff.
- Answer questions about pricing, appointment scheduling, and payment options.
- Prepare patient forms as needed.
- Answer telephone calls and properly direct them to appropriate personnel.
- Communicate effectively with clients, doctors, veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants.
- Have a good knowledge of current veterinary medicine.
- Know how to take care of animals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 29 per week
