The Quality Manager is responsible for the improvement and discipline of quality, maintaining ISO9001 certification, upgrading to AS9100 and for the overall management of quality functions through development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures consistent with organizational requirements. Manages and participates in quality activities in the department to improve the processes, procedures, methods, and materials used in the quality processes while ensuring product quality is maintained and striving for continuous improvement. The Quality Manager will represent the Company and its values and will ensure that the expectations of the Company’s customers are exceeded by performing the following duties:
Quality Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management Representative of ISO9001/AS9100 QMS.
- Perform root cause and corrective action evaluations, resulting in a more robust process and/or QMS.
- Plan and direct the activities of the department, provide support and guidance, ensure product and/or process quality and conformance.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates quality operations from a strategic quality perspective to ensure that products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and customer & regulatory specifications and requirements.
- Collaborates with management and senior staff to draft acceptable quality standards and processes.
- Ensures the Company’s suppliers and materials meet all required performance standards.
- Responsible for continued certification of the Quality Management System.
- Responsible for resource allocation and planning within the Quality, facilities, and maintenance teams.
- Coordinate activities required for continued ISO9001 certification including internal auditing, preventative & corrective action systems, ensuring completion and maintenance of Quality records, documentation, and test data.
- Coordinates the daily activities of the Quality Inspectors and provides supervision, work direction and training coordination for inspection of products/parts, ensuring compliance to all contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Conducts customer and supplier visits/audits as required to confer on both general and specific quality requirements/needs.
- Maintains, trains, and enforces FOD program.

- Technical proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specification and customer requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to train staff.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications:
- BS or equivalent experience
- 5 Years of experience in Quality Management in manufacturing or aerospace preferred.
- Auditing experience strongly preferred.
- DLA Contract Administration experience preferred.
Work Environment Requirements:
- Full-Time, Non-Exempt Position.
- Must be eligible for government clearance.
