Job Summary :
The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies to expand HIV / STI / HCV and PrEP prevention efforts within the community. The primary focus will be on identifying and establishing new outreach partners and sites for testing events. The coordinator will work collaboratively with community stakeholders, organizations, and individuals to enhance awareness, accessibility, and engagement in HIV / STI / HCV and PrEP prevention programs.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Partnership Development :
Identify, cultivate, and establish partnerships with bars, clubs, community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, and other entities to expand outreach efforts.
Collaborate with existing partners and build new relationships to enhance the reach of HIV / STI / HCV and PrEP prevention services.
Collecting and establishing new Memoranda of Understanding (MOU).
Research and identify suitable locations for HIV / STI / HCV and PrEP testing / Recruitment or education events, ensuring accessibility and convenience for the focus population.
Coordinate logistics for testing, outreach and education events, including securing venues, obtaining necessary permits, and managing event schedules.
Conduct outreach activities to engage community members in discussions about HIV / STI / HCV and PrEP / PEP prevention, testing, education, linkage and resources.
Develop and implement strategies to increase participation in testing events and PrEP access.
Provide training and education to community partners on HIV / STI / HCV, PrEP / PEP and DoxyPEP prevention strategies, testing procedures, and available resources.
Foster a supportive and informed network of partners to strengthen the overall prevention efforts.
Coordinate HIV / STI / HCV, PrEP / PEP and DoxyPEP staff training by looking for outside partners and resources to bring in-house and to the community.
Work closely with the Community Engagement Department to develop marketing and promotional materials for testing, PrEP / PEP and DoxyPEP events to increase awareness and participation.
Utilize social media, community bulletin boards, and other channels to promote upcoming testing events and prevention initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, partnerships, and testing event outcomes.
Generate regular reports on outreach effectiveness, including recommendations for improvement.
