This position reports directly to the Associate Vice Chancellor, Student Financial Aid and Services, within the Student Financial Aid unit of the Student Success division.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
- Six years of related experience.
- Master's degree.
- Degree in finance, business administration, public administration or a closely related field.
- Eight years of financial aid experience.
- Proficient with and high level of understanding of the Federal Student Aid Handbook, Code of Federal Regulations, and Audit requirements. Knowledge of Banner (Ellucian) a plus.
- Emphasis on compliance with Federal and State financial aid, funds management and reconciliation, data analysis, and responsible for completing the FISAP, IPEDS, and audits for five independent Colleges.
- A team player with a positive attitude, supportive of change, willing to share ideas, innovative, kind, and willingness to assist students, staff, and colleagues with understanding key and relevant financial aid issues.
- Ability to communicate and teach others is essential.
- Must possess a valid driver license. Must be insurable through the organization’s insurer.
