Alamo St.San Antonio, Texas, 78215United StatesJob Summary and Description : Directs, plans, develops, and manages the accounting disbursements system to control financial resources. Implements operational improvements in payroll and accounts payable in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, district board policies, and laws and regulations.This position will oversee Accounts Payable and Payroll Departments. Ensures all Payroll and Accounts Payable related reporting and payments are accurately completed and submitted before required deadlines. Leads and supervises staff to include Associate Directors of Accounts Payable and Payroll and the Manager of Payroll Reporting.Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training that equates to the required degree.Seven years of experience in accounting, payroll, and / or accounts payable.Three years of supervisory experience.Experience using accounting software.PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Governmental accounting experience.Texas Retirement System (TRS) experience.Ellucian Banner ERP system experience.LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS : Prefer Certified Public Accountant (CPA).#J-18808-Ljbffr
