Truck Up-fit / Installer
We are currently looking for a skilled Installer/Fabricator/Welder to join our team at HP Fairfield, a member of Alamo Group Inc.
This is a full-time opportunity on 1st shift, Monday through Friday position, working in a non-climate controlled metal manufacturing production environment.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lay out, position, align and fit components together
- Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position
- Set up equipment and weld parts for mounting tilt fronts, dump bodies, etc.
- Perform welding, electrical or hydraulic functions, depending on the task
Requirements:
- Basic welding and fabricating skills
- Experience with torches, electric drills, reamers and band saw
- Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, assembly diagrams or schematics
- Able to perform fairly repetitive duties and tasks according to set procedures
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, preferred
- A minimum of 6 months of related experience
Working Conditions:
- Frequent standing, twisting, bending, stooping, and climbing in and around metal fabricated part
- Frequent lifting, pushing or pulling of 35 pounds alone, and >35 pounds with assistance
