Job Summary
The Alamo Group Inc. is seeking a skilled Installer/Fabricator/Welder to join its team in Hopkinton, NH. This full-time opportunity on 1st shift, Monday through Friday position involves working with various tools and equipment to mount and install parts on trucks.
Key Responsibilities
- Mount tilt fronts, dump bodies, hydraulic hoses, and tanks according to specifications and blueprints.
- Use drills, welders, torches, band saws, and other necessary tools to assemble or install dump bodies, handle stands, valve stands, and other parts.
- Install electrical equipment on plow trucks and dump trucks, including running wires, mounting brackets, switches, and control boxes, while following electrical codes and manuals.
- Select equipment, plan layout, and assemble or install hydraulics on equipment according to blueprints.
- Assist with installation of equipment in truck cabs as needed.
Requirements
- Basic welding and fabricating skills are required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, assembly diagrams, or schematics.
- Mathematical skills to perform arithmetic operations with like, common, and decimal fractions.
- Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Work Environment
This role will be performed in a non-climate-controlled metal manufacturing production environment with frequent standing, twisting, bending, stooping, and climbing around metal fabricated parts. It requires sufficient manual dexterity and visual acuity to identify required parts and operate production assembly equipment.
