We are Super Products LLC, an Alamo Group Company, a growing and innovative manufacturing business with a state-of-the-art headquarters in Mukwonago, WI, and a nationwide network of rental store facilities.
About the Role
The Senior Buyer is responsible for purchasing high-quality parts at competitive prices to drive business growth. This role reports directly to the Director of Materials.
Key Performance Objectives
- To meet Super Products' needs by optimizing quality, capacity, pricing, and delivery requirements.
- To achieve commercial expectations by driving overall cost competitiveness throughout the supply base through optimization, negotiation, design/manufacturing opportunities, and identifying new suppliers.
- To interact with suppliers to communicate delivery expectations, forecasts, design changes, lead-time management, and material expedites to ensure Supplier On-Time Delivery to Super Products' production schedule.
- To work closely with Engineering to provide assistance on ECO opportunities.
- To maintain accurate material master records for assigned materials.
- To review and maintain part consumption characteristics to ensure appropriate planning parameters are maintained.
- To demonstrate strong forward-planning skills, critically assessing performance and presenting new ideas for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or operations discipline.
- Four years' experience in procurement, supply chain, or related supply management.
- Minimal travel required.
