Job Summary: The objective of a Shipping & Receiving Clerk is to perform warehouse activities such as tracking and maintaining inventory, shipping, receiving, disbursements, identification of parts, and supplies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for entering information in JD Edwards software system
- Responsible for performing all clerical functions related to the performance of job duties, including responding to all e-mail inquiries
- Demonstrate the ability to follow departmental objectives, processes and procedures
- Load, unload, and move material throughout warehouse areas
- Develop proficient use of equipment and lifting devices not limited to forklifts, lift trucks, flat bed carts, hoists, and other lifting devices
- Must be able to multi-task and meet all deadlines as assigned
- Ability to complete all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED or relevant work experience in lieu of education
- 2 years of related experience required in lieu of education. Fork Truck experience preferred. Scanning experience preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license to operate forklifts, and be forklift certified.
- Must be able to follow all safety and material management policies and maintain an organized work area
- Must be able to work well with others
- Must be able operate barcode scanners
- Ability to work safely in a high paced environment.
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Bilingual preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Unimpaired speech, hearing, and sight (continuous)
- Strength and Stamina
- Ability to routinely lift 50lbs to chest level
- Postural changes such as sitting, reaching, climbing, standing, walking and lifting (intermittent)
- Ability to enter and exit lift trucks and other material handling vehicles multiple times per hour.
