Position Overview
Position Title: Elementary Teacher

Class Size Range: 14-28 students
Alamo Navajo Community School, a Tribally Controlled School located on the rural Alamo Navajo Reservation, integrates cultural values and traditions with academic excellence. We are seeking a passionate and qualified elementary teacher to inspire and support students in elementary school. Teachers at Alamo play a vital role in creating a supportive and enriching environment that prioritizes both academic achievement and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to BIE, DODE, and New Mexico state standards.
· Use data to monitor student progress, guide instruction, and implement effective interventions.
· Maintain strong classroom management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
· Communicate regularly with families to support student success.
· Adhere to IEP, 504, and SAT requirements and comply with school policies.
· Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development.
· Support cultural events and extracurricular activities that enhance the school community.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Degree
- Valid/current (or ability to obtain) New Mexico teaching license K-8
