Utility Systems Operator
Overview
The Utility Systems Operator is responsible for the safe operation, monitoring, adjustment, and maintenance of various utility systems, including high-pressure steam boilers, ammonia refrigeration, well water, potable water, hot water, fire suppression, pneumatic, and HVAC equipment. This position requires hands-on expertise with diverse mechanical and electrical systems, alongside the ability to perform routine and emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, and system inspections. The role demands a proactive, self-directed individual capable of working effectively with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate steam boilers and associated equipment.
- Operate ammonia refrigeration systems and associated equipment.
- Operate hot water heating systems.
- Manage plant and water filtration systems.
- Operate air compressor systems.
- Monitor HVAC, fire suppression, and air movers.
- Perform daily equipment rounds, inspections, and water testing.
- Conduct assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures.
- Perform general housekeeping and other assigned tasks as needed.
