We are seeking a full-time Operator experienced or willing to learn our business. This position is responsible for operating or assisting in a direct mail manufacturing environment with a focus on reduction in cost related errors, exceeding client expectation, and driving a safe workplace. Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains equipment
- Performs adjustments on machine per job instructions
- Meets and exceeds production standards and maintaining customer quality requirements
- Communicates job status and production concerns/issues during shift change
- Follows all safety policies and procedures
- Adheres to all current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Troubleshoots problems with minimum delay time
- Communicates with Management on any problems developing and corrective action
- Works with urgency when equipment is down to maintain production requirements
- Continues learning new and improved processes to achieve increased production
- Facilitates teamwork among team members and between shifts
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
Qualifications:
- 2 years manufacturing experience (Preferred)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Able to move and lift 25 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally
- Able to stand on concrete for 10-12 hours.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed
- Ability to apply written and verbal instructions for machine set-up
- Ability to use hands, wrists and arms to handle material.
- Ability to stand/walk on concrete floors throughout the shift
- Ability to stoop, bend as needed
- Ability to work around loud machines; hearing protection may be required.
- Ability to read a ruler.
- Good interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members.
- Must demonstrate reliability through attendance, punctuality, and ability to stay in work area.
- Must be able to foster team cooperation.
