Material Handler - Mailshop
2nd Shift 3PM-11PM
You be a part of helping people who help people through supporting the fundraising efforts of over 500 non profits as a Material Handler in the Mailshop.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Stocks all machines assigned by the Supervisor or Shift Lead throughout the shift to levels set to the area.
- Stages jobs in the assigned department by obtaining the components for the job from the staging area in the warehouse, bindery or any other staging area.
- Communicates with inserter operators and the mail clerks to provide trays, sleeves, or water when necessary.
- Keeps area clean by sweeping the area and discarding empty boxes, straps, or trash.
- Locates information on the work order and/or matrix such as codes, lots, versions, or groups in order to stock operator’s table with correct components, in the correct order, throughout the job.
- Returns all stock that is left over after the job has been completed to the warehouse.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a repetitive basis, stand for long periods of time, operate material handling equipment as trained and instructed.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in clear business English is necessary.
- Be able to work in a team atmosphere and be held accountable for the quality of work produced.
- Flexible schedule including weekends and overtime is required.
- Displays a strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
