Maintenance Tech - 2nd Shift (3PM-1AM)

Job Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting machines in a direct mail manufacturing environment, with a focus on reducing cost-related errors, exceeding client expectations, driving a safe workplace, and being innovative. Responsibilities include equipment repairs, operations, ensuring safe production standards, and managing the day-to-day functioning of machines and tools critical to our organization.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Conducts preventative maintenance on machines.
• Troubleshoots maintenance on various machines to ensure efficiency and reduces interruptions of production and quality.
• Inspects equipment and systems for any issues.
• Completes day to day maintenance repairs. Follows all departmental SOPs.
• Follows all company policies and procedures as outlined in the company handbook.
• Promotes and maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Communicates all safety issues, incidents and near misses observed.
• Reports major problems with machinery and downtime to the Supervisor.
• Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team's success.

Requirements:

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Previous Mechanical or Electrical Experience required - minimum of 2 years
• Effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job; bending, repetitive motion, standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work a flexible schedule for overtime and weekends
• Ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Willingness to be accountable for the level of quality produced
• Manual dexterity, mechanical aptitude, reading and comprehension.
• Ability to determine mechanical priorities.
• Displays a positive attitude.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

Shift: 3pm-1am
