Alaris Health at Hamilton Park, a 260 bed-skilled nursing facility in Jersey City, NJ, seeks a physical therapist (PT) to organize and conduct physical therapy programs for the Center to facilitate rehabilitation and direct client participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance performance. Additional responsibilities include :
- evaluating residents, developing appropriate treatment goals and methods and implementing the physical therapy treatment plan
- designing and fitting adaptive devices and training residents how to use adaptive devices
- selecting physical agent modalities suited to each individual’s needs, physical capacity, mobility activities and diagnosis
- instructing residents in the skills and techniques required for participation in mobility activities and evaluating their progress, attitudes and behavior as related to rehabilitative potential
- attending and contributing to resident care, staffing conferences and other related meetings
- conducting training programs and participating in training medical, nursing and other personnel in physical therapy techniques and objectives
