Alaris Health at St. Mary’s located in Orange, NJ, is seeking Security Personnel to provide a safe environment for the residents and staff and secure the facility’s property.
JOB functions :
All security personnel must report to work fifteen (15) minutes prior to their shifts.
All security personnel must wear a uniform.
All security personnel report to the Director of Maintenance and / or Administrator
All security personnel must identify an person / vehicle entering the grounds and report the purpose of the visit to the receptionist who will notify the appropriate department head. The visitor will be allowed to enter the premises only after receiving an approval from the department head / receptionist.
All security personnel must inquire the room number of the resident. If the family / visitor do not know the room number of the resident, the security personnel must give it to them with the directions. At all times, the security personnel must be very polite and welcoming . Then, the security personnel must notify the unit.
All vehicles identified as visitors’ / family members’ should be directed to the main entrance.
All security personnel maintain a journal of all vehicles entering the grounds including the time of arrival and departure, license plate number, and the name of the staff member in the facility.
All security personnel report any unusual residents’ behavior to the Nursing Supervisor or receptionist.
All security personnel must not allow any former employees to gain access to the grounds with the exception of prior notification by the department head.
All security personnel must make sure that the residents do not congregate in front of the security gate.
All security personnel must complete daily report at the end of the shift.
All security personnel must report to the immediate supervisor about any unusual events.
All s must not leave the assigned security station under any circumstances without contacting the immediate supervisor.
All security personnel working night shift must lock the gate prior to leaving the security station (no more than 15 minutes).
All other duties as assigned by your Supervisor.
Job Skills :
Must be in good physical and mental health.
Must pay attention to safety hazards to residents and self.
Must be familiar with location of various departments and regulations of the facility.
May be required to work rotating shifts and to work in different units as residents needs require; specific scheduling will be under the direction of the Maintenance Director.
Must possess the ability to positively interact with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel and the general public.
Conduct rounds between 5 : 00 PM – 11 : 00 PM. Make sure that all doors are closed and locked.
Performs Related Duties :
Interacts with residents, families, visitors and employees.
He / she carries out other tasks as requested in situations where hands-on intervention / participation may be required.
