What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restorative Certified Nursing Aide CNA position at Alaris Health at The Chateau – North & South Pavilion?
Alaris Health at The Chateau – North & South Pavilion, a 251 bed-skilled nursing Center in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, seeks a restorative certified nursing aide to coordinate, implement and provide restorative nursing care for all residents in the Center with the direction of the rehabilitation and nursing departments and maximize and maintain the physical functioning and emotional wellness of all the residents. Additional responsibilities include :
- overseeing, directing and participating in restorative programs initiated for individual residents
- facilitating each resident’s transition from skilled rehab services to the restorative progressive and preventative programs
- maintaining restorative nursing progress / documentation records for all participating residents
- visiting each resident daily and / or as needed to ensure the program’s productivity
- training primary care givers in restorative techniques
- monitoring all residents with ROM and T&P orders to ensure compliance of the order
- instructing and assisting primary caregivers with directions to provide proper application and usage
- communicating with families concerning their loved ones’ progress
- and above all, ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individuals’ needs and rights
- Certified nursing assistant with experience and / or knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy / procedures
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Experience directing and instructing others in delivering restorative care
- Full command of the English language (written, oral and verbal)
- Ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public
