Alaris Health at West Orange, a 120 bed-skilled nursing Center in West Orange, New Jersey, seeks an assistant admissions coordinator to work with the director of admissions to maximize the Center’s census, implement an effective admissions process and ensure the highest level possible of resident satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include:
- following up on all inquiries that have not yet converted to admissions and leading admissions counseling and tours
- maintaining statistics for monthly resident flow analysis and assembling admissions and marketing packets
- alerting department heads regarding appropriate preparation and follow-up for admissions (new and re-admits)
- ensuring that residents’ rooms are clean and prepared appropriately before their arrivals
- meeting with each resident and his/her family or responsible party on the day of admission, warmly welcoming and introducing them to the nursing staff and following up with a visit at the end of the day
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Able to work independently
- Possess a positive sales-oriented personality and friendly resident service approach
- Empathetic towards residents and their families/responsible parties
- Adept at dealing with a geriatric population and families in crisis
- Able to positively interact with everyone from residents to the general public
