Northeast Fire Systems and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Service Technician to join our fire business unit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Rapid Response to Fire Alarm Resets and repairs: You will be at the forefront of ensuring swift and effective responses to fire alarm resets and repairs. Your prompt action will contribute to the safety of various customers across the New England area.
- Maintenance, Upgrades, and Replacements: Undertake maintenance tasks, upgrades, and replacements of low-voltage systems. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing and optimizing the performance of systems such as Fire Alarm, Smoke control, security, card access, CCTV, Intercom, nurse call, clock, sound, and more.
- Diverse Skill Set Application: Your role will encompass a wide range of low voltage systems, including but not limited to Fire Alarm, Smoke control, security, card access, CCTV, Intercom, nurse call, clock, and sound systems. This variety will call upon your comprehensive knowledge and adaptability.
- Inspection of Low-Voltage Systems: At times conduct thorough inspections of low-voltage systems to assess their functionality and identify potential issues. Your meticulous approach will contribute to the reliable operation of these critical systems.
- On Call: you will be compensated to be part of our on-call rotation that is shared between our team of technicians.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational background and at least one year of hands-on experience working specifically with Fire alarm systems
- Hold or obtaining an A, B, C, or D Electrical license, demonstrating your understanding of electrical systems and regulations
- Able to pass a background check for the state mandatory S License clearance.
- Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
- Provide a professional appearance and conduct while providing effective solutions to customers.
- Monitor and maintain a clean vehicle while ensuring you have inventory of products and equipment.
- Possession of NICET certification at any level.
- NEFS is an authorized Honeywell distributor of Notifer, Silent Knight, FCI/Gamewell. Certifications on these products are a bonus or Certifications from Potter, Simplex, or EST.
- Valid driver's license required.

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
