Job Summary:
This entry-level position within the IT Department offers an opportunity to assist IT staff with daily tasks and key functions. The IT Intern will support help desk operations and gain hands-on experience across various areas of IT. This internship provides a well-rounded exposure to different IT disciplines. This is a part-time, temporary position expected to last 10-12 weeks with an estimated scheduled 20-30 hours per week.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provide basic end-user support
- Assist IT staff with computer imaging, staging, and installation tasks
- Support troubleshooting and repairs for desktop computers and laptops
- Maintain open communication and a positive working relationship with staff
- Handle various on-site duties as assigned
- Maintain punctuality and adhere to attendance standards
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Perform additional tasks as directed by management
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in good standing, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software
- Proficient in database management
- Able to perform basic troubleshooting
- Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn new technologies
- Knowledge of Android and Apple smartphones
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office applications
- Strong desire and drive to expand technical skills
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Skilled in gathering and analyzing information
- Demonstrates resourcefulness and initiative in completing tasks
Licenses/Certifications:
- Must have a valid state driver’s license, reliable transportation and satisfactory driving record.
- Must be able to obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (Illinois employees only).
