Alarm, Fire & Security LLC is a local independently owned and operated full-service Fire Sprinkler and Fire Alarm Company. We are members of AWWA (American Water Works Association), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association, AFSA (American Fire Sprinkler Association), DHEC (South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control) & Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce. Our technicians are TREEO, DHEC & NICET certified, keeping current with local, state, and national codes through continuing education.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance to enhance our financial performance. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping our financial strategies, managing risks, and fostering economic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and tax requirements.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Collaborate with senior management to guide strategic decision-making and planning.
- Lead and mentor finance team members, promoting professional development and accountability.
- Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting(preferred), Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite; experience with QuickBooks.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
