Scissor lift spotter

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Scissor Lift Spotter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of scissor lifts and other aerial work platforms while assisting operators in navigating their surroundings. Your keen attention to detail and strong communication skills will be essential in maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist scissor lift operators by providing clear and concise directions during lifting operations.
• Monitor the surrounding area for potential hazards and communicate any safety concerns to the operator.
• Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during the operation of scissor lifts.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate lifting tasks efficiently and safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that pathways are clear for equipment movement.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety issues to the warehouse supervisor promptly.

Skills

• Proficiency in operating order pickers, RF scanners, and pallet jacks is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with basic troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment.
• Experience in materials handling and heavy lifting is essential for this role.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating independent judgment when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills to relay information clearly between operators and ground personnel.
• Prior experience in a warehouse environment or similar setting is preferred.

Pay: Up to $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 4x10
• 5x8
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift

Work Location: In person

Salary : $15
