Job Overview

Alaska Addiction Rehabilitation Services Inc is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered care for individuals on their journey to recovery from substances. Our team is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those we serve, and we are seeking a skilled and empathetic Director of Development, Marketing, and Communications to join our mission-driven team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, fund raising, and event planning. As the Director of Development, Marketing, and Communications you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through their healing journey.

Duties

• Develop and implement cost-effective fund development program involving individuals, businesses, and private foundations
• Identify, cultivate, recruit, and organize fund development leaders and volunteers
• Event planning and non-profit fundraising
• Collaboration with stakeholders
• Increase AARS revenues from both public and private sources
• Responsible for overseeing AARS's online community
• Develop sponsorships and community connections

Qualifications

• Must have alignment with the mission, vision, and values of AARS
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in appropriate field
• May have previous nonprofit management experience, which is preferred, specifically with organizations who receive funding from federal, state, and local governmental bodies
• Connections with state, federal, and local providers and stakeholders
• Must have professional demeanor, able to meet and communicate with political and business leaders
• Must have the ability to operate excel, create power points and report writing
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Ability to write/manage grant proposals preferred
