Job Summary
The Events and Partnerships Coordinator consists of planning, logistical execution, and on-site management of meetings, workshops, conferences, and fundraising initiatives. This role also involves cultivating and managing relationships with current and potential sponsors and partners, identifying new partnership opportunities to expand the enterprise's reach and resources within Alaska's hospitality industry. The coordinator collaborates on marketing strategies, manages event budgets and partner agreements, evaluates the success of initiatives, maintains accurate records, and works with the leadership team to develop sponsorship menus, requiring strong organizational, communication, and project management skills, along with experience in event planning and partnership development.
Responsibilities
* Plan and execute a variety of events relevant to the hospitality industry, including meetings, workshops, conferences, and fundraising initiatives.
* Manage all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, vendor negotiation, catering, registration, and on-site coordination.
* Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential sponsors and partners relevant to the diverse membership of Alaska CHARR.
* Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to expand Alaska CHARR's reach and resources within the state's hospitality communities.
* Collaborate with the team to develop marketing and communication strategies for events and partnerships, ensuring relevance to all member sectors.
* Track event budgets and partner agreements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and maximizing ROI for the association and its members.
* Evaluate the success of events and partnerships, providing recommendations for future improvements to better serve the needs of the hospitality industry.
* Maintain accurate records of event details, partner contacts, and sponsorship agreements.
* Foster relationships with existing partners and work with the Leadership Team to prepare and present customized sponsorship menus.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in event planning and coordination.
* Experience in developing and managing partnerships or sponsorships is highly desirable.
* Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Knowledge of the Alaska hospitality and retail industries is a plus.
Compensation
This position offers an hourly rate of $25 per hour, plus the potential for $5,000 - $10,000 in performance-based incentives.
