Experience: Ten (10) years of sales experience which included any combination of the following: five years in the telecommunications industry; five years in a leadership, management, or supervisory role. Experience must result in demonstrable ability to develop account strategies, deliver effective proposals, train employees, effectively manage sales employee performance, develop and deliver effective proposals, and manage complex sales cycles.
Computer Skills
Demonstrated proficiency working with the Microsoft Office suite, to include Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

- Provide leadership, direction, instruction and assistance to assigned staff. Set performance targets for staff and continually provide feedback regarding actual performance in comparison to targets. Provide guidance to correct off-target behavior and when appropriate initiate disciplinary action.
- Build a Multi-Channel Sales Strategy and Implementation Plan for the Consumer Business likely across Digital, Inbound Sales, Outbound Sales, Door to Door, lead Gen, etc.
- Direct and oversee activities to retain and expand client base in alignment with company strategy and resources.
- Develop training programs and associated material that provides external and internal sales personnel the skills and knowledge required to sell assigned products effectively, to include creating and producing training material to meet assigned objectives, scheduling training classes, and delivering some training directly.
- Develop and nurture relationships with key industries and governmental personnel.
- Drive high-level key customer relationships.
- Provide regular, concise, value-added market intelligence to the entire company to assure Alaska Communications remains the best telecommunications company in Alaska.
- Lead and provide strategic directions to all the members of the Consumer Sales Team.
- Team with Product, Marketing, and Operations departments to ensure seamless and smooth onboarding and support for our customers.
