What You Will Be Doing
Are you ready to take the lead in financial reporting and play a key role in supporting leadership in Southcoast Region? As our Budget Analyst, you'll be the go-to expert for budget analysis and performance reporting, ensuring that key performance initiatives are accurately tracked and communicated. Working directly with the Regional Director, Deputy Regional Director, and Administrative Operations Manager, you'll keep the region on track financially and strategically.

Who We Are Looking For
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides the applicant with the core competencies of:
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of technical level experience in accounting, budget, finance, or similar field. This includes, but is not limited to, such work as Accounting Technician 1 and 2, Administrative Assistant 1 and 2, Statistical Technician 1 and 2, or Human Resource Technician 1 and 2 with the State of Alaska, or the equivalent elsewhere.
Substitution
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics, or a closely related field will substitute for the required experience.

- Collaborating with the Administrative Operations Manager to analyze spending, monitor budgets, and deliver accurate monthly and quarterly reports. You’ll also develop and refine the region’s annual operating budget.
- Leading the charge on implementing new software systems, like Agile Assets, and train new hires on their usage. Be the key point of contact for ongoing support and system improvements.
- Gathering, consolidating, and analyzing budget data to respond to legislative and budgetary inquiries, helping to inform decisions and recommendations for the organization.
- Ensuring emergency response spending is properly tracked and coded, resolving issues, and ensuring full reimbursement for the region.
