What You Will Be Doing
This position works semi-independently to construct, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain State facilities within the guidelines of current State statutes and codes in the most efficient and economical manner possible.

The Working Environment You Can Expect
This position is based out of an office in Tok and will perform maintenance, installation, and repair of facility systems and their components on facilities maintained by the Northern Region of the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF). This position requires occasional field inspections, as well as short-duration travel depending on the scope of the reason for travel.

- Electrical: Knowledge of electrical equipment, components, instruments, and systems, including their design, installation, testing, uses, repair, or maintenance.
- Mechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, installations, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Painting: Knowledge of materials, methods, and appropriate tools to apply paint and other protective coating materials on drywall, wood, metal, glass, and other surfaces.
- Plumbing and Pipefitting: knowledge of materials, methods, and the appropriate tools to install, maintain, or repair pipelines, pipe systems, and fixtures, including water, air, steam, gas chemicals, or sewage.
- Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations
