Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: This position serves as the first contact with customers, handles payment processing, including electronic and physical payments, and cash control.
KEY or ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Provides support to CSR I. Receives payments, assists customers, and answers calls as first line of customer contact.
- Receives, reviews, and processes all electronic payments for AELP. This includes troubleshooting issues from odd electronic payments and making appropriate corrections and communicating with outside agencies to resolve payment errors and/or lack of remittance information.
- Controls and reconciles cash. Prepares and submits daily electronic and cash deposits.
- Assists to enter payments received outside of cash drawers (mail, etc.)
- Creates and maintains payment records (daily, monthly, and annually.)
- Maintains automatic payment accounts, including responding to customer inquiries.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
Secondary functions of this position are:
- Trains employees in payment entry processes, including cashiering duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires a minimum of 2 years of office and customer service experience.
EQUIPMENT UTILIZED:
Duties of this position will require regular use of these types of machinery and equipment: Computer, printer, keyboard, mouse, receipt scanner, and phone system.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To meet all expectations of this position you will need to be able to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
For an employee to succeed in this position they will need to be able to do simple mathematical equations, adapt to changing schedules, and contribute to problem solving when needed. They will also need to maintain focus and accuracy in a busy, sometimes noisy, environment.

WAGE:
The hourly wage range is $24.82 - $29.20 depending on experience.
