Our RTO Financial Analyst position provides financial analysis and reporting, including financial model development, pro-forma development, and financial statement analyses in support of the function and operations of the RTO.
We’re looking for someone who has a Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related field and four years of experience in a related financial analysis role is preferred. Consideration will be given to a combination of coursework in Finance or Accounting and equivalent work experience.
Pay Range: $75,699 - $95,803/year

Essential Functions:
- Provide financial analyses in support of all primary and ancillary actions of the RTO including but not limited the administration and management of all certificate, tariff, and rate filings and the holding of such items.
- Provide financial analyses in support of requests from the Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) relating to the RTO and/or provide support for requests from other appropriate authorities, as directed by the RTO Program Manager or the RTO governing body/committee, including ex-officio members from the Railbelt Reliability Council (RRC), and in consultation with the RTO Program Manager.
- Liaise routinely with the AEA Accounting and Finance departments to ensure that all necessary financial reporting and financial compliance requirements as related to the RTO, are timely met. Assist, as needed, in the Develop, manage, and monitor RTO budgets related to AEA’s management and administration of the RTO, in coordination with the RTO governance body/committee, and AEA staff.
- Conducts financial analyses in support of actions of the RTO, including transmission infrastructure projects subject to RTO tariffs and project involving AEA-owned transmission infrastructure.
- Provides assistance with the administrative functions related to the RTO.
- As requested, assists with preparing various reports for management, project management, and external requests. This includes creating reports and assisting with year-end audit tasks.
- Provides support in contract management and reviewing deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
- Assists with preparing responses to public inquiries regarding the RTO.
- Assists in preparing and reviewing testimony and discovery responses for the RTO.
- Meets strict financial reporting deadlines as directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
