We are seeking a motivated Machine Shop Hand to assist in all aspects of machine shop part manufacturing, shop cleanliness and organization, and the machining and assembly of aluminum struts. This is an entry level position that does not require CNC experience. The ideal candidate must be well organized, flexible, show initiative, and have the ability to multitask with attention to detail. Candidates must have strong communication skills and the ability to develop strong and collaborative working relationships.
Job Duties
- Finishing and assembly of aluminum struts
- Clean and deburr parts from the water jet, mills, router, and lathe
- Assist in moving and cutting raw materials
- Assist in bending parts on the CNC Press brake
- Assist with loading/unloading parts from CNC Mills, CNC Lathe, and CNC Router
- Use various hand tools as required to prepare parts for finishing
What will make you successful
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience using hand tools and shop power tools/equipment preferred
- Must have a strong attention to detail
- Ability to quickly learn and retain processes and procedures
- Ability to take direction well and follow through with little or no supervision
- Forklift experience preferred
- Has excellent time management skills, is service oriented, and selfdirected
- Works well within a team atmosphere
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay at $18.50 $20.50/hr DOE
