POSITION SUMMARY: The Director is responsible for the daily operations, quality, and efficiency of the Cath Lab and Ambulatory Surgery Center. This role ensures exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, and optimal resource management while fostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Team Development

Recruit, mentor, and develop clinical staff to maintain high performance.

Ensure staff have the resources and training needed for success.

Promote a culture of teamwork, communication, and professional growth.
Operations & Compliance

Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and capital planning.

Ensure compliance with state, national, and accreditation standards.

Monitor and improve clinical workflows, patient safety, and infection control.

Conduct audits, manage quality assurance, and address process improvements.
Clinical & Facility Oversight

Direct pre/post-care, nursing care plans, and procedural operations.

Oversee lab services, point-of-care testing, and radiology compliance.

Ensure physician credentialing and compliance with safety protocols.

Step in to provide direct patient care as needed.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Minimum of five years of progressive responsible leadership experience. A minimum three years of patient care experience, preferably in the cardiac care unit or Cath Lab.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent education required. Master's in nursing, Healthcare Administration or Business preferred. Training in infection control, safety, quality, compliance preferred. Specialized training in managing human resources, preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: Current unrestricted State of Alaska Nursing license and DEA certification required. Current BLS and ACLS certification or obtain within 30 days of employment.
