What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Staff position at Alaska Helicopter Tours?
We are seeking energetic team members with commercial kitchen experience to work at our beautiful Alaska Glacier Lodge and Alaska Helicopter Tours! The atmosphere is “fast casual” with tasty food supporting our cabin and tour guests.
Kitchen Staff positions run from May 8th, 2025 - September 19th, 2025. This is for full-time, temporary, seasonal employment.
Duties include:
· Prepare, cook, and assemble food in a food service establishment.
· Prepping and chopping ingredients as needed for meals
· Portioning ingredients accurately
· Heating items to the correct serving temperatures on the grill top and ovens
· Managing a sandwich press so food is properly cooked and served
· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and food service line space
· Clean dish area, prep stations, freezers, refrigerators, floors, and trash disposal areas to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently
· Receive delivery orders and store delivery order items on shelves
· Restock kitchen shelves with food items
· Carry food items from kitchen to dining areas
· Complete inventory of food items
· Adhere to local, state, and federal food service safety regulations to maintain a safe and healthy working environment
· Some kitchen experience preferred
· Required to possess ServeSafe Food Handlers Certification
Schedule varies but the primary shifts are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM or 2:00pm to 10:00pm.
Pay: DOE (Depends on Experience)
