Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the highest level of customer service. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and loading tasks.
Duties
- Load and unload products from delivery vehicles, ensuring safe handling of all items.
- Drive delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, following designated routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed for loading and unloading goods.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist with moving items within the warehouse as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial driving or route driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) safely and efficiently.
- Experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts is advantageous but not mandatory; training may be provided.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
