What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse/Forklift Operator position at Alaska Marine Lines?

Alaska Marine Lines is looking for team member to join our Warehouse operating a forklift to receive, deliver and load palletized/unitized cargo shipments as well as handle loose shipments as required. Someone who is ready for a fast paced and challenging position that will lead to a career. Is that you?

Your Monday to Friday daytime schedule could earn you $54K - $58K working on average 45 hours a week.

​Qualifications:

  • Operate up to a 6000# forklift to receive, deliver or load palletized/unitized cargo shipments. Handle loose shipments manually.
  • Interface with customers and truck drivers by giving instructions, direction and assistance on procedures for handling cargo shipments and preparing the Bill of Lading.
  • Count, inspect and check markings on inbound and outbound cargo shipments for receiving or delivering those shipments per the requirements of the Bill of Lading.
  • We expect you to show up to work, every day and on time.
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong work ethic - we work together as a team
