Specialty : Surgical Services

Experience Required : Ortho, general, neuro and trauma

Start Date : ASAP

Types of Cases Required : Peds, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics, ortho, general, neuro and trauma

Types of Cases Preferred : PEDS, ENT, plastics, robotics

Number of ORs : 4

Years of Experience Required : 1.5 plus national certificate

First-timers Accepted : Yes

Weekend Requirement : Yes, required based on unit's needs

Guaranteed Hours : Yes, up to 36 hours, with 12-hour shifts guaranteed 40 hours per week.

Job Requirements

BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)

State License Verification (Alaska State License Required)

NBSTSA Certification (Required for Scrub / Surg Techs)

1.5 years plus national certification required

Schedule Information

Day shift positions are variable days including weekends

Shift times : 0645-1715 or 0845-1915

Weekend shifts are 12 hours from 1845-0715

On-call requirement : Yes, estimated 2-4 days in 13 weeks

Unit Specific Information

Scrub, NBSTSA required for all skills

Clean and turn rooms with a 20 min turnaround

Additional Details

No changes to contracts once signed

Max of one week RTO, must make up at the end

Expect to work 2 / 4 major holidays
