Job Details
Start date : ASAP
Compact License is accepted!! However, Traveler must apply for AK license ASAP after signing.
Years of experience REQ : 2; will screen 1 year
First-timers accepted : YES
Weekend REQ : Every Other
Is on-call REQ? No
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes, NICU and Peds
Open to accommodating block schedule? Yes, unit does block
Guaranteed Hours : Yes, up to 36 hours. All OR nurses and OR Techs on 12-hour shifts are scheduled for an additional 4 hours to help cover breaks and lunches. 12 hour OR nurses and OR Techs will be guaranteed 40 hours per week.
Special Requirements : Must be culturally sensitive to Native Population
Job Requirements
2 years of experience required
Must apply for AK license ASAP if not already held
BCLS and PALS certifications required
Weekend work required every other week

Unit Specific Information
Pediatric floor ratios are 1 : 4
PICU ratios are 1 : 2
Ventilated patients are usually 1 : 1 due to the geography of the unit
Additional Details
Travelers may be assigned to PICU with an orientee
Locals accepted : No - 100 miles radius rule
Pending License accepted : Must have AK license prior to starting for Acute specialties
RTO Restrictions : No changes to contracts once signed
