Job Description:
Alaska Smart Home Designs, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Construction Worker with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, and the ability to perform a wide range of construction tasks. This position requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team, while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on all construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various construction tasks including but not limited to framing, drywall installation, flooring, masonry, roofing, plumbing, electrical, and finishing work.
- Operate heavy machinery, hand tools, and power tools to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy in construction work.
- Measure and cut materials to precise specifications.
- Assist in the preparation and cleanup of construction sites.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with other workers, contractors, and supervisors to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Identify and report any issues or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Perform other duties as required to support the successful completion of construction projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a construction or trade-related field.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, construction machinery, and other related equipment.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.88 - $20.01 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
